our founders

David Chesner is a Co-CEO of Grove Point Marinas, which he founded in 2021. He is also a Co-Managing Partner of Grove Point Partners, which invests in alternative real estate opportunities. Previously, David was an investment professional at Nitorum Capital, which he joined at inception and which grew to billions of assets under management during his tenure. Prior to Nitorum, he was an investment professional at Wing Lake Capital, Helios Advisors, and Blackstone, where he began his career investing in private companies. David has been active in the City of Hope charity, which focuses on cancer research and treatment, is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), and is an Alumni interviewer for the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Economics (Finance) from The Wharton School.

Taylor Kushner is a Co-CEO of Grove Point Marinas, which he founded in 2021. He is also a Co-Managing Partner of Grove Point Partners, which invests in alternative real estate opportunities. Previously, Taylor was a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners, prior to which he held positions at TPG Special Situations Partners, and Goldman Sachs, in its Special Situations and Investment Banking Divisions. He has led complex transactions involving real estate, operating businesses, and other alternative assets, and has served as a Trustee and Co-Chairman of the Urban Arts Partnership, a New York-based nonprofit that advances the development of underserved public-school students. He is currently a Director of SeaChange, a non-profit merchant bank and funder of philanthropies. Taylor graduated from Georgetown University.
